University of Michigan-Dearborn

Since its founding in 1959 on 200 acres of the Henry Ford estate, the University of Michigan-Dearborn has shaped southeast Michigan through education, collaboration, and community engagement. UM-Dearborn empowers students through learning by offering more than 100 undergraduate majors and minors, and over 50 graduate degree programs. I look up to everyone there, I love the meetings and discussions, and we consider ourselves a family. Besides that, I try to be involved in a lot of things. I’m the secretary of our student government, the president of the Institute of Software Engineers and a member of the Opportunity Scholarship program.”

“I’ve really enjoyed my professors in addition to the administration while being here. Professor Benjamin Phillips is my calculus two teacher now, and I really enjoy his class – which is something I would never expect myself to say about calculus. The class itself is fun, and he’s a great teacher that leaves you with a legitimate understanding of how to solve a problem, where the solution was derived, and the methodology behind solving the equation.”
